Champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu to hold pre-season training in Uganda
The management of El Merriekh SC Bentiu have announced that the team will hold it’s pre-season training camp in Kampala, Uganda.
Under new coach Jean Claude Loboko, the 2025/2026 tripple champions will camp in Kampala in July.
“We are pleased to announce that following discussions with club management, the club has officially agreed to hold its pre-season training camp in July 2026 in Kampala, Uganda,” said the Club.
The pre-season camp is expected to help the team prepare physically, tactically, and mentally ahead of the new season. The camp will also help the new coach and all players including the newly recruited ones to build better chemistry.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu who will represent South Sudan in the 2026/2027 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League have recently signed the Liberian trio of James Jatbo, Prince T.K Farley and James Zortiah, and Kenya’s Eric Otieno among others.

Table leaders EL Merriekh SC Bentiu sign Bangasi Joshep, David Dara
EL Merriekh SC Bentiu has strengthened the squad with the addition of two more players in the mid season transfer.
The Club has completed the signing of 22-year old midfielder David Dara and defender Bangasi Justin Joshep.
“We warmly welcome David Dara and Bangasi Justin Joshep to the family and wish them great success as they begin this new chapter with the club,” said the Club.
EL Merriekh SC Bentiu finished top with 34 points after the first round of the 2025/2026 South Sudan Premier League sponsored by MTN South Sudan.

Sudan select EL Merriekh SC Bentiu goalkeeper Monged for AFCON 2025
EL Merriekh SC Bentiu goalkeeper Monged Elneel has been selected as part of Sudan’s squad ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cu of Nations (AFCON) 2025.
Head coach James Kwesi Appiah selected Elneel together with two other goalkeepers Ali Aboeshren and Mohamed Elnour.
“EL Merriekh SC Bentiu is proud to congratulate Monged Elneel on his international call-up for AFCON Morocco 2025. This is a historic milestone for our club. Monged Elneel becomes the first ever EL Merriekh SC Bentiu player to represent the club at the Africa Cup of Nations,” said the Club.
Sudan are placed in Group F alongside Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso for the AFCON 2025 which runs December 21st to January 18th in Morocco.
Sudan will start their campaign with a match against former champions Algeria in Rabat on December 24th.
They will then face Equatorial Guinea four days later and take on Burkina Faso on December 31st in Casablanca.

EL Merriekh SC Bentiu unveils Bebeto Coach Services as main sponsors
Bebeto Coach Services are the new main sponsors of EL Merriekh SC Bentiu.
Fresh from winning the South Sudan Super Cup, the club unveiled the new sponsor on Friday in a ceremony in Juba.
The sponsorship agreement is valued at US$300,000 over two years. Wali Wunow Keah, the Club Secretary General and CEO of Bebeto Coach Services, Bol Mut Char signed the agreement.
As part of the partnership, Bebeto Coach Services’ logo will feature prominently on the front of our official team jersey, symbolizing a strong and ambitious collaboration between both parties.
“We are excited about this journey ahead and look forward to achieving great success together both on and off the pitch,” said the Club Secretary General.
