Mohammed Musa leads top scorer’s chart in South Sudan Premier League
El Merriekh SC Bentiu striker Mohammed Musa currently leads the top scorer’s chart in the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League.
After eight matches that the top four teams on the log have played Musa leads with eight goals. He netted his eighth goal last weekend in the 2-1 defeat to Jamus SC.
Sabri Motwakil and David Sebit from Wajuma FC and Kator FC respectively are second with five goals each.
Four players are tied at four goals each Kiiry Christopher (Koryom FC), Justin Azuma (Holy Family FC), Pap Chol (Kator FC) and Tet James (Bentius City FC).
Another El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s Tethloach Thor is among the six players who have netted three goals each.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu under the watchful eyes of interim coach Richard Justin Lado are currently 4th on the log with 18 points, while Kator FC leads with 20 points.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu will return to face Kator FC on February 5th, 2025 at the Juba National Stadium.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu win Bentiu derby to extend lead on South Sudan Premier League table
El Merriekh SC Bentiu have stopped Bentiu City FC 6-2 to go five points clear in the 2025/2026 South Sudan Premier League.
Eric Mabirizi gave El Merriekh SC Bentiu the lead after nine minutes at the Juba National Stadium on Saturday.
Bentiu City FC tried to reorganize their style of play, but still failed to find the goals. Philip Keer added two more goals for El Merriekh SC Bentiu, before Bichar Makuel pulled one back for Bentiu City FC.
Keer completed his hat-trick before the interval, while Shabani Hussein also got his name on the score board to give El Merriekh SC Betiu a 5-1 lead at the interval.
In the second half Gaetan Masha scored El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s sixth goal after 72 minutes, but Tet James found the net for the opponents seven minutes later.
The win saw El Merriekh SC Bentiu move to 54 points after 21 matches played, while Jamus SC are second with 49 points with the same number of matches played.

Ousmane, Rehan on target as El Merriekh SC Bentiu reclaim top spot in South Sudan Premier League
El Merriekh SC Bentiu collected a 2-0 win against Atlabara FC to return to the summit of the 205/2026 South Sudan Premier League.
After a tough contest Ousmane Sampi put El Merriekh SC Bentiu ahead after 31 minutes to send their fans cheering at the Juba National Stadium on Sunday.
Atlabara FC tried to reorganize themselves, but failed to make the few scoring chances count.
Few minutes after the interval Rehan Anger netted the second goal for El Merriekh SC Bentiu.
The win sent El Merriekh SC Bentiu back to the top of the table with 51 points from 20 matches played. Jamus SC who have also played the same number of games are second with 48 points.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu how shift attention to prepare for the Bentiu derby when they face Bentiu City FC on March 14th at the Juba National Stadium.

Kizza scores in El Merriekh SC Bentiu draw against Kator FC
Ugandan forward netted a second half goal to help El Merriekh SC Bentiu secure a 1-1 draw against Kator FC in a South Sudan Premier League match played on Tuesday.
Third placed Kator FC took a first half lead at the Juba National Stadium.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu fought back strongly after conceding the goal, but the Kator FC defenders stood firm as the first half ended 1-0.
Early in the second half new signing Martin Kizza from Uganda leveled matters from close range. El Merriekh SC Bentiu piled more pressure on Kator FC’s defending line, but failed to find the winning goal.
After 19 matches played El Merriekh SC Bentiu top the table with 48 points, while Jamus SC are second with 45 points and Kator FC in third place with 40 points.
