Mohamed Musa nets hattrick as El Merriekh SC Bentiu go top

El Merriekh SC Bentiu have gone top of the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League after a convincing 6-1 win against Olympic FC in a match played on Monday.
Victor Nelson put El Merriekh SC Bentiu ahead after only 11 minutes at the Juma National Stadium.
The Olympic FC team tried to fight back immediately, but missed the target. Mohamed Musa Eldai later doubled the score 10 minutes from full time.
After recess Mohamed Musa Eldai added two more goals, while David Chan Majak and Gaetan Masha also got their names on the score sheet. Olympic FC registered a goal before the end of the match with an El Merriekh SC Bentiu defender Yohana Fanuel deflecting the ball in the next.
Interim coach Richard Justin Lado said he was happy with the way his team handled the match. “We need to keep working hard because this is a League,” added the coach.
The win sends El Merriekh SC Bentiu to 12 points and with a better goal difference than Kator FC who also have the same number of points.

Chol, Akinbinu on target to rescue point for El Merriekh SC Bentiu against table leaders Kator FC

El Merriekh SC Bentiu battled from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against table leaders Kator FC in South Sudan Premier League match played on Tuesday.
The match started with a high temple for the two sides as Micheal Taku gave Kator FC the lead after only 10 minutes at the Juba National Stadium.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu tried to fight back, but lost Alassane Coulibaly due to injured after 40 minutes. A minute to the interval Kator FC made it 2-0 with a goal by Martin Otwo.
After recess El Merriekh SC Bentiu returned a charged team and Peter Chol pulled a goal back after 48 minutes. Two minutes later Samuel Akinbinu also got his name on the score sheet to tie the match at 2-2.
Kator FC maintain their lead on the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League log with 43 points, while El Merriekh SC Bentiu remained in 4th place with 31 points.

Determined El Merriekh SC Bentiu ready to face table leaders Kator FC in South Sudan Premier League

El Merriekh SC Bentiu will be all out to prove a point when they face table leaders Kator FC in a South Sudan Premier League match on Tuesday at the Juba National Stadium.
Fresh from qualifying for the main Cup quarter finals of the South Sudan Cup and winning a League tie in the second round, coach Ibrahim Hussein will be more than hungry to register another win.
After 14 matches played Kator FC currently lead the log with 42 points, while El Merriekh SC Bentiu who have played two games less are in 4th place with 30 points.
Since joining the Club last month Coach Ibrahim Hussein has guided the team to four wins from the same number of games. He will be more than eager to continue with the good performance.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu, the reigning South Sudan Premier League champions will look for the goals from in-form Muhammed Musa, Techloach Thor, Samuel Akinbinu and Gaetan Masha.
Victory for El Merriekh SC Bentiu will enable the team close the gap on third placed Holy Family FC who have 35 points.

Coach Hussien makes winning start as El Merriekh SC Bentiu thrash Salam FC Weil in Premier League tie

New El Merriekh SC Bentiu head coach Ibrahim Hussien has made a good start after guiding his team to a 5-0 win against Salam FC Weil on Sunday.
It was the first match for Hussien since taking over few weeks ago ahead of the start of the second round of the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League.
Striker Mohamed Musa Eidai netted a brace to give El Merriekh SC Bentiu a 2-0 lead at the interval in a match played at the Juba National Stadium.
Sharif Omer was quick to make it 3-0 in the 46 minute. But the Salam FC Aweil team tried to fight back, but failed to find the goals.
With 10 minutes to the final whistle Samuel Akinbinu and Tot Maet added two more goals.
The win sends El Merriekh SC Bentiu to 30 points from 14 matches played. Jamus SC who have played 13 matches are top of the log with 35 points.
The second round of the South Sudan Premier League sponsored by MTN South Sudan kicked off on March 27th with Koryom FC and Holy Family FC settling for a goalless draw.
