All roads will lead to the Juba National Stadium on Thursday to witness the South Sudan Super Cup 2025 encounter between El Merriekh SC Bentiu and Jamus SC.
The season opening South Sudan Cup presents a contest between the two teams that will represent the country in the 2025/2026 Confederation of Africa Football Associations (CAF) Club tournaments.
“We have prepared well during the pre-season in Uganda and the players are well motivated and ready to start the season well,” says head coach Ibrahim Hussein Ibrahima.
The coach says although they are aware of how tough the match against the reigning South Sudan Premier League will be, his players are up to the task.
After finishing third in the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League and being finalists in the Cup, El Merriekh SC Bentiu are not taking any thing to chance in the new season.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu will have the opportunity of playing some of the new recruited players like Sampi Ousmane (Mali) and defender Ramadan El Faki (Sudan) among others.
