El Merriekh SC Bentiu terminate interim coach Justin Lado’s contract
El Merriekh SC Bentiu have terminated the services of interim head coach Richard Justin Lado.
Lado who took over early last month had his services terminated late on Sunday night together with the assistant coach John Chal Guot and team manager Ahmed Simon.
Wali Wunow, the Club General Secretary in a communication made it clear it was decision made by the Board of Directors of the Club after holding it’s extraordinary meeting.
He the services of the Club registrar Maboth Maker and Sports Director Malish Kuol have also been terminated.
“This decision has been made in the best interest of the club as part of our ongoing restructuring efforts to strengthen the team and ensure future success,” reads part of the communication.
After picking a goalless draw against Young Star Torit on Sunday, El Merriekh SC Bentiu are placed 4th on the South Sudan Premier League log with 20 points.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu have humbled 4th Division Ugandan side Kibuli United FC 5-0 in a pre-season friendly played at the Yes Centre in Nsambya.
Pal Paul gave the South Sudan Premier League champions in the match played on Tuesday morning.
Rehan Anger and Jonathan Gem also picked a goal each, while Shaban Hussein netted a brace.
Head coach Claude Loboko said that the friendly match was very important for his team since they are preparing for a new season.
“The match has helped us to assess several things and we hope to play may be another friendly match. But the pre-season training is getting on well,” added the coach.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu were meant to play another Ugandan team Lukuli United last week, but the match was cancelled,

Champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu to hold pre-season training in Uganda
The management of El Merriekh SC Bentiu have announced that the team will hold it’s pre-season training camp in Kampala, Uganda.
Under new coach Jean Claude Loboko, the 2025/2026 tripple champions will camp in Kampala in July.
“We are pleased to announce that following discussions with club management, the club has officially agreed to hold its pre-season training camp in July 2026 in Kampala, Uganda,” said the Club.
The pre-season camp is expected to help the team prepare physically, tactically, and mentally ahead of the new season. The camp will also help the new coach and all players including the newly recruited ones to build better chemistry.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu who will represent South Sudan in the 2026/2027 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League have recently signed the Liberian trio of James Jatbo, Prince T.K Farley and James Zortiah, and Kenya’s Eric Otieno among others.

Table leaders EL Merriekh SC Bentiu sign Bangasi Joshep, David Dara
EL Merriekh SC Bentiu has strengthened the squad with the addition of two more players in the mid season transfer.
The Club has completed the signing of 22-year old midfielder David Dara and defender Bangasi Justin Joshep.
