Geatan Masha guides El Merriekh SC Bentiu against Salam FC Weil

El Merriekh SC Bentiu have stopped Salam FC Weil to extend their lead on the 2025/2026 South Sudan Premier League log.

Geatan Masha netted a first half brace, while Tot Maet Doh also got his name on the score sheet to give El Merriekh SC Bentiu a 3-0 lead at half time at the Juba National Stadium on Wednesday.

In the second half the hosts Salam FC Weil replied with two goals through Fayz Nouraldeen and Salva Mathok with a well timed header.

Later Adim Madut Ngong Aleu netted an own goal to increase El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s lead to 4-2. At the stroke of full time Eric Mabirizi scored the fifth goal for El Merriekh SC Bentiu.

The win after 16 matches increased El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s win to 43 points. Jamus SC are in second place with 37 points after the same number of matches played.

Kizza scores in El Merriekh SC Bentiu draw against Kator FC

Ugandan forward netted a second half goal to help El Merriekh SC Bentiu secure a 1-1 draw against Kator FC in a South Sudan Premier League match played on Tuesday.

Third placed Kator FC took a first half lead at the Juba National Stadium.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu fought back strongly after conceding the goal, but the Kator FC defenders stood firm as the first half ended 1-0.

Early in the second half new signing Martin Kizza from Uganda leveled matters from close range. El Merriekh SC Bentiu piled more pressure on Kator FC’s defending line, but failed to find the winning goal.

After 19 matches played El Merriekh SC Bentiu top the table with 48 points, while Jamus SC are second with 45 points and Kator FC in third place with 40 points.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu stop Holy Family FC to reclaim top position

El Merriekh SC Bentiu showed true fighting spirit coming from a goal down to defeat Holy Family FC 3-1 in a South Sudan Premier League match played on Wednesday.

The two teams came all out before Martin Queenta Otwao came Holy Family FC the lead a minute to the break.

After recess El Merriekh SC Bentiu Coach Ibrahim Hussein coach made a tactical change which yielded fruits in the match played at the Juba National Stadium.

Ugandan forward Martin Kizza leveled matters after 71 minutes, and five minutes later Ousmane Sampi made it 2-1 for El Merriekh SC Bentiu.

The Holy Family FC team pushed forward in search of more goals, but failed to break the El Merriekh SC Bentiu defending line.

Tot Matt Doh scored El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s third goal in added time.

The win sent El Meriekh S Bentiu back to pf the table with 47 points, while Jamus SC are second with 44 points after 18 matches played.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu will return to action against third placed Kator FC on March 3rd at the Juba National Stadium.

El Merriekh SC Bentiu silence Lion Hunters FC to reclaim top position

El Merriekh SC Bentiu have silenced Lion Hunters FC 4-0 to reclaim top spot in the on-going 2025/2026 South Sudan Premier League.

In their first match of the second round El Merriekh SC Bentiu kicked off on a high to take a 3-0 half time lead in a match played at the Juba National Stadium on Saturday.

Keer Manger Masha netted a brace in the first in the first 15 minutes. After 35 minutes Shaban Hussein made it 3-0.

After recess the Lion Hunters FC team reorganized themselves and defended in numbers, but also creating some chances. Malian International Sampi Ousmane scored El Merriekh SC Bentiu’s fourth goal.

The win takes El Merriekh SC Bentiu back top of the summit with 37 points from 14 matches played. Jamus SC who also won their opening match of the second round few days ago are second with 35 points, while third placed Kator FC have collected 32 points.
